Is there a restaurant on site?
The Pinnacle Inn does NOT have a restaurant on the premises, however there are 9 different restaurants located on Beech Mountain within a 3 mile driving radius, and twice as many only minutes away in Banner Elk.
Do you allow pets?
The Pinnacle Inn does NOT allow pets on the premises. Bylaws of the Pinnacle Inn Homeowners Association prohibit pets from being on the Pinnacle Inn property.
Where is the nearest grocery store / shopping center?
Located less than one mile from the Pinnacle Inn, is Fred's General Mercantile. They have the basic and necessary items that you would need, as well as a convenient location in reference to the Pinnacle Inn. There are larger grocery store chains (Food Lion, Lowe's Foods, and Ingles) within a driving distance of approximately five to seven miles. The nearest shopping centers (Wal-Mart, Belk's, JCPenney's) are found in Boone, NC, which is an estimated 30 minute drive from Beech Mountain.
Are linens and towels provided?
We supply you with an initial linen and towel set up. We do NOT have daily maid service, although extra linen is available at an additional cost. We would recommend bringing beach towels if you plan on using the pool and Jacuzzis. Paper towels and cleaning supplies are NOT included.
Is there a laundry facility available?
Most of our units have washer and dryer right inside the unit (you will need to bring laundry detergent, or can purchase at Fred's General). Check individual unit descriptions for details, or feel free to call us and ask! There is also a coin operated laundry facility located on site adjacent to the All Seasons Center.
Where exactly is Beech Mountain, NC?
Beech Mountain is located in Northwestern North Carolina. We are approximately 2 hours from Charlotte and Asheville. We are approximately 30 minutes from Boone, Blowing Rock, and the Northeastern Tennessee border.
What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 7 day cancellation policy. If you cancel 30 days prior to your arrival date, you will be refunded your advance deposit, minus a $50 cancellation fee (or you can re-book a later date). If you happen to cancel your reservation 7 days or less of your arrival date, your advance deposit will be forfeited entirely.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Guaranteed check-in is at 4:00 PM. Check-out is at 10:00 AM.
Can we check-in early / check-out late?
We can NOT guarantee an early check-in. However, if you arrive early, and your unit is clean and set up, we can issue keys and allow you an early check-in. Please do not expect this and try to schedule your check-in time to be as close to 4:00 PM as possible. We can extend check-out times; ONLY if there is no one scheduled to arrive in your assigned unit the day of your departure, and only if you call our office the morning you are due to depart.
Where do we check-in?
At the office of the Pinnacle Inn Resort, located on the property. If you are arriving after hours, you may need to check in at the guard gate. It is staffed until 1 a.m.
What if we arrive after the office is closed?
If you have not officially checked-in with us prior to the office closing, stop by security to check in. Security is available until 1 a.m., so make sure you are here by then.
How many square feet are the condos?
The Ski Suites (1 - 2 people) are approximately 300 square feet. The One Bedroom condos (2 - 4 people) are approximately 525 square feet. The Two Bedroom condos (4 - 6 people) are approximately 825 - 1000 square feet (depends on individual unit).
What is the security deposit?
When booking your reservation, you will be informed of a required security and damage deposit. This procedure insures that if your party damages the assigned condo or property, it is your responsibility to pay for the damages. The Security Deposit amount is $200. If you put this on your credit card, we run it as an AUTHORIZATION ONLY. Your card will NOT be charged, the money will just be held aside for 7-10 days from your departure. If you pay the security deposit with cash, you will be reimbursed with a company check within 14-30 days from your departure.
When do your rates change?
Our Spring rates typically run from March 15th to May 31st. Summer rates are June 1st to September 14th, Fall rates are September 15th to December 14th. Winter Rates are December 15th to March 14th. Dates are subject to change dependant upon seasonal weather.
Do you provide wood for the fireplace?
We do NOT provide firewood. Firewood may be purchased at the office for $5 per bundle.
How far away is Ski Beech Resort?
The Pinnacle Inn property is located approximately 1.5 miles (5 minute driving time) from the entrance to Ski Beech Resort. (SEE SHUTTLE INFORMATION)
Do you provide Shuttle Service?
Ski Beech does provide weekend shuttle service from Pinnacle Inn. Pinnacle Inn has no control over their scheduled pick up and drop off times. If you have chains, or a 4-wheel drive vehicle, we are an easy 1.5 mile drive to the slopes. Except in the worst storm conditions, the State keeps the main road clear to the ski slopes. ***DAILY SHUTTLE SERVICE PROVIDED DEC 26 - JAN 02***
Where would we rent Ski Equipment?
We suggest you rent from Beech Meadows Ski Shop, for the best deals and equipment. We sometimes offer coupons for ski equipment rentals at Beech Meadows Ski Shop. You can also rent skis at Fred's General, and at the Ski Beech Resort, as well as other local shops in Banner Elk.
